Welcome beloveds to Bloomington Christian School. I have had the honor of serving in Christian education the last 25 years with this being my thirteenth year here at BCS. I have worked in administrative roles both at junior high and high school here at Bloomington Christian, and presently I am blessed to be your elementary school principal.
Bloomington Christian has a heritage and legacy of serving the community in Christian Education for over 50 years, where we have served multiple generations of families. I am honored that my own children, and now my grandchildren, have had the opportunity to attend Bloomington Christian School.
Elementary is an exciting, challenging, and welcoming atmosphere that will allow your child to feel connected at every level. Our staff is loving and passionate about their students and their curriculum.
At elementary we offer a rigorous curriculum along with a loving approach, and have the tools to assist even those who need additional academic support. Kindergarten through sixth grade offers many additional extracurricular activities that allow your child the opportunity to find where his or her strengths and passions begin.
We are honored to welcome your children and your family to the Home of the Bloomington Christian Ravens.

Students at our Elementary Campus have the opportunity to engage in various programs throughout the school year including:
Our students can participate in basketball, softball, or cheer throughout the year. For more information about elementary sports, please click here.
Future Leaders In God's Higher Thinking (FLIGHT) is a weekly program where students get to learn about God's creativity through science and create experiments of their own. The FLIGHT program culminates in SciencePalooza at the end of each year.
Students develop their musical and acting abilities to glorify God in two major musical productions each winter. Practice for the productions occurs during school hours. Students who have auditioned for speaking parts will have practices after school. Past performances have included "Meet Me at the Manger," "Not Your Average Joe," "Secret of Snowflake County," "Livin' Inside Out," and "I Am." These performances are an excellent opportunity for students to come out of their shell, memorize music and lines, and work as a team.
Technology time is incorporated throughout the week during the school day. All students learn proper computer etiquette, internet safety, and the basics of Microsoft Word and Power Point. Kindergarten students learn simple computer operations and functions. Grades 1 and 2 focus on creating projects. Grades 3 through 6 practice correct typing techniques.
Teachers integrate art into their class time and allow students to creatively express themselves through a number of fun projects and techniques throughout the year!
Bloomington Christian offers extended care hours before and after school which is especially helpful for working parents. Extended Care offers students the chance to make the most out of each day. Students can arrive as early as 6:30 am and relax, play games, and get ready for the day before school starts at 7:45 am. After school gets out at 2:30 pm, students are separated by grade level for a variety of activities. Students share with their peers during "Highs and Lows" time, participate in "Drop Everything And Read" or DEAR Time, play games and sports, create art, sing songs, and have a dedicated homework hour. Extended Care hours are from 6:30 am - 6:00 pm daily.
