Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is recognized as one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.

Bloomington Christian School has received full WASC Accreditation for kindergarten through twelfth grade.


What does this means for our students?

  • Bloomington Christian School meets and exceeds the University of California policy that requires all courses meet the A-G requirements.

  • Accreditation is required with respect to the Cal Grants.

  • Colleges and universities examine transcripts to determine if the students have attended accredited institutions.

  • Military recruiters expect applicants to be from accredited schools.

  • Ensures that our students meet the requirements for acceptance into any school in the future.

I - Implementing God's Word and Christian Character into Daily Living

  1. Students will comprehend the importance of a personal relationship with Christ through daily prayer and being in God's word continuously.

  2. Students will mirror Christ-like behavior and character in diverse environments. 

  3. Students will know how to defend their faith and beliefs.


D - Demonstrating Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills

  1. Students will develop skills and techniques to seek, research, analyze, and compile data rationally and methodically. 

  2. Students will solve problems both independently and cooperatively in and out of group settings.

G - God Centered Education

  1. Students will incorporate the importance of Christ in their global world view. 

  2. Students will master proficiency in all BCS academic standards in conjunction with Biblical Principles.

E - Effective Communication

  1. Students will listen objectively and convey logically through their creativity, thoughts, speech, reading, and writing.

  2. Students will utilize technology to access information, communicate clearly and solve problems. 

Community Service Requirement

In service to Christ, BCS students complete community service hours each semester. Students learn to build relationships and humbly meet the needs of others. 

  • Elementary: 5 hours per year

  • Junior High: 10 hours per year

  • High School: 50 hours per year

Global Learning

Bloomington Christian equips students to serve communities locally and across the globe. Throughout the year, students have opportunities to travel on different trips that widen their understanding of God's world. 

Previous Trips: 

  • 12 students went to Mexico to build homes.

  • 20 students traveled to Washington D.C. to tour the nation's capital.

  • 9 students journeyed to China to visit Bloomington Christian's sister schools.
